UPDATE: Prepped for the Kill
Ladies and Gents,
MG chiming in to give you the latest on this case. I stray from the norm in doing so, since an investigation into the real estate and its management company has been launched and is currently ongoing.
Needless to say, certain details cannot be divulged at this time, and naturally, all names appearing in this entry are aliases. But, I will give you a hint to the identity of the criminals in this matter.
Remember the acronym, M.O.R.O.N.S., folks, and slip on your rubber boots. We’re deep in cow country, and about to plow through some muddy fields.
MICHAEL owned the property, which was renovated with investments from his friends.
OSCAR first raised demands for the luxurious accommodation he was promised. Despite threatening to sue, his requests went absconded.
RICHARD also felt cheated and devised a plan to rankle the owner into fulfilling his part of the bargain.
OLIVER saw an opportunity to seize a directorial seat on the board, when wind of mutiny blew through like tumbleweed. He contrived a deadly scheme that required another hand.
NATE believed he’d be seated beside him, if he agreed to participate.
SAM, truly the owner’s friend, had been first to step in the pile of conspiracy, but had hesitated to notify the owner. He’d waited until a weapon in the case surfaced, and a victim lay in the aftermath.
Now, I know what you’re all pondering. Would someone actually kill for a nicer bedroom, a bigger bath, a better kitchen? These apartments retailed over a million smackeroos, folks. And that total doesn’t include starting capital provided for the renovation and fittings of the entire building. The actual sum of investment would be too staggering for me to even speculate upon.
Oh, what deception some spiders can weave…before discovering their shortage of web! Lies, secrets, and misinformation destroyed a comradery of childhood chums with the fuel of jealousy and greed.
This sad instance hadn’t been the first in history, and it most certainly wouldn’t be the last.
